Your privacy is important to me. This Privacy Policy explains how SymbolCraft ("I", "my", or "the App") handles information. The short version: SymbolCraft is local-first, does not require an account, and does not collect analytics or tracking data.
No Tracking or Advertising
SymbolCraft does not contain any third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. I do not track you across apps or websites, and I do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
Information Stored on Your Device
Local App Data
SymbolCraft lets you browse and reference Apple's system symbol library on iPhone and iPad. Favorites, preferences, saved symbol choices, and recent browsing state are stored locally on your device when the app needs them.
App Store and Purchase Data
I do not receive your Apple ID, payment details, search history, or symbol browsing behavior. Apple may process App Store download and purchase information under your Apple ID when you download the app or buy an optional SymbolCraft Pro unlock.
Information I Do NOT Collect
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone) unless you contact support
- Location data
- Contacts or photos
- Browsing history or app usage outside of SymbolCraft
- Usage analytics, device identifiers, or advertising IDs
- Health or fitness data
How Local Data Is Used
SymbolCraft uses local app data to:
- Provide SymbolCraft's core features
- Remember your favorites and preferences on your device
- Respond to support requests
Data Storage
SymbolCraft app data is stored locally on your device. It may be included in your device's automatic iCloud backup if iCloud backup is enabled, but SymbolCraft does not run its own account system, cloud sync service, analytics backend, or tracking service.
Data Sharing
I do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), I confirm: I do not sell your personal information.
I may share data with:
- Apple: App Store downloads and optional in-app purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. See Apple's privacy policy for details.
- Legal Requirements: I may disclose information if required by law or to protect my rights.
Your Rights
You control your local SymbolCraft data:
- View and manage favorites and preferences in the app where available
- Remove saved items you no longer need
- Delete all your data by uninstalling the App, which removes all locally stored data
If you contact support by email, I will use the information you provide only to respond to your request.
Security
SymbolCraft relies on iOS and iPadOS device security for local app data. App Store purchases and restore flows are handled through Apple's StoreKit system.
Children's Privacy
SymbolCraft does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe you have shared personal information with support by mistake, please contact me.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
