At Crafter Apps ("we", "us"), your privacy is a core product value. This policy explains what we do—and mostly what we don't do—regarding personal data for our website at https://crafterapps.com/apps/mathcraft/ (the "Site") and our iOS app MathCraft: ThinkFast Math (the "App").
Summary
- We do not collect personal data on our Site. No cookies. No analytics. No trackers.
- The App has no accounts and no online tracking. Gameplay and analytics are stored on-device only.
- Payments are processed by Apple via StoreKit. We do not see your payment details.
Website
We do not use cookies, analytics, or third‑party trackers. Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (e.g., IP address, user‑agent) for security and reliability. We do not access or combine these logs with other information.
MathCraft: ThinkFast Math App
- Data collection: The App collects no personal information from users of any age, including children under 13. We do not collect names, email addresses, device identifiers, location data, photos, contacts, or any other personal information.
- Educational purpose: MathCraft: ThinkFast Math is designed as an educational tool to help users practice and improve their math skills through adaptive gameplay.
- Local data storage: The App stores only gameplay statistics and analytics data locally on your device using Apple's secure Core Data framework. This includes your scores, game session history, settings preferences, and Pro analytics if purchased. This data never leaves your device, is never transmitted to any servers, and is never shared with third parties.
- In-app purchases: The App offers an optional one-time Pro unlock ($4.99) using Apple's StoreKit 2. Apple processes all billing and may collect limited billing data per their Privacy Policy. We do not receive or have access to your payment information, billing details, or purchase history.
- Family Sharing: The Pro unlock supports Apple's Family Sharing, which may share purchase entitlements across family accounts per Apple's policies. Parents control Family Sharing settings through their Apple ID account.
- Device permissions: The App does not request access to location, camera, microphone, photo library, contacts, calendar, health data, or any sensitive device permissions. The app operates in a sandboxed environment with no network connectivity requirements.
Children's Privacy (COPPA/GDPR-K/Kids Category Compliance)
- Child safety by design: MathCraft: ThinkFast Math is specifically designed to be safe for children under 13 and complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and GDPR-K requirements.
- Zero data collection from children: We do not collect, store, use, or disclose any personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). This includes but is not limited to: names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, geolocation data, photos, audio recordings, or persistent identifiers.
- No online features: The app contains no social features, chat functions, user-generated content, multiplayer capabilities, web browsing, or communication tools that could expose children to contact with unknown individuals.
- No behavioral advertising: The app contains no advertisements, behavioral tracking, interest-based advertising, or third-party marketing content.
- Parental controls: Parents/guardians must supervise in-app purchases as required by Apple's App Store guidelines. We recommend parents review Apple's Family Sharing and Screen Time controls.
- Educational value: The app is designed purely for educational purposes to help children practice math skills in a safe, offline environment.
- Data isolation: All app data remains locally on the device and is never transmitted, shared, or uploaded to any external servers or third parties under any circumstances.
Data Retention and Deletion
- No server data: Since we collect no personal data, there is no data to retain on our servers or any external systems.
- Deleting local data: All local device data can be immediately and completely deleted by uninstalling the app from your device. This removes all gameplay data, settings, scores, and analytics from your device.
- Manual data reset: Users can also reset their data within the app by going to Settings and using the "Reset All Data" option (if available) or by deleting and reinstalling the app.
- Purchase records: Purchase records for in-app purchases are maintained by Apple according to their retention policies. We do not have access to or control over Apple's purchase data.
- Parental data deletion: Parents can delete all app data for their children by uninstalling the app or using device management controls.
International Privacy Laws
- GDPR (EU): We do not collect personal data, so GDPR data processing obligations do not apply. Users have full control over local device data.
- CCPA (California): We do not sell, share, or process personal information as defined by CCPA.
- Other jurisdictions: Our privacy-first approach complies with privacy laws worldwide by collecting no personal data.
Your Rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or other regions with data protection rights, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction. Because we collect no personal data and maintain no user accounts or server‑side data, these rights typically apply only to data stored locally on your device. You can exercise your right to deletion by uninstalling the App (which completely removes all local data) or contact us for guidance. Parents and legal guardians can exercise these rights on behalf of their children.
